South Portland, Maine (April 12, 2016) – VNA Home Health Hospice is pleased to announce that Ann Phillips, RN, BSN, CCM, was recently accepted as an advanced professional member of the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA). Phillips has been practicing as an aging life care professional (also known as a geriatric care manager) since 2014. As a member of ALCA, Phillips adheres to the standards of practice and code of ethics developed by the association and its members to ensure public accountability.

As an aging life care professional Philips provides guidance and advocacy for families who are caring for older relatives or disabled adults. She assists clients with the challenges of aging, such as finding appropriate housing and in-home care. With a specialized focus on issues related to aging she provides clients with referrals to medical providers or elder law attorneys, as well as the support that provides families peace of mind.
